A recent report identified many security control deficiencies at the IRS. The Government Accountability Office (GAO) report tested IRS systems and revealed 11 areas of deficiency. They include: access controls, configuration management, segregation of duties and information security management program controls. The report also noted that, while progress has been made on some previous recommendations, most remain unaddressed. The GAO concluded that the new issues “increase the risk of unauthorized access to, modification of, or disclosure of financial reporting and taxpayer data and disruption of critical operations.” Here’s the report: https://bit.ly/2ZixT5x Call or visit our website for more information!  www.mjscpa.com/
