Outgoing IRS Commissioner Charles P. Rettig remains optimistic about the agency’s opportunities to implement transformational changes over the next decade. Rettig said he’s confident that funding provided by the Inflation Reduction Act will be used to accelerate new online features, explore artificial intelligence projects and expand community outreach. At the same time, he added, the funding will allow the IRS to more effectively crack down on tax avoidance behaviors, such as syndicated conservation easements, micro-captive insurance arrangements and virtual currency scams. President Biden recently announced that he intends to nominate Daniel Werfel to succeed Rettig.  Call or visit our website for more information!  www.mjscpa.com/
