Here’s a reminder about the IRS’s new e-filing requirements for tax-exempt organizations (EOs). In 2019, The Taxpayer First Act amended the tax code to require most EOs to e-file their returns and related forms. The requirement to e-file applies to tax years beginning after July 2, 2019. EOs that file Form 990 or Form 990-PF must e-file their returns for tax years ending July 31, 2020, and later. The rules are different for EOs that file Form 990-EZ. For tax years ending before July 31, 2021, the IRS will accept either a paper or e-filed Form 990-EZ. But for tax years ending on or after July 31, 2021, Form 990-EZ must be e-filed.  Call or visit our website for more information!  www.mjscpa.com/
